Caswell Tire Service, a family heritage

Tradition

I guess you could say, "It's in the blood" is the best way to describe the passion that seems to always connect the Potter family to automobiles.  Starting in the 1940's, the late Lee Potter owned a garage in Leasburg, NC and developed a reputation as a A-1 mechanic.  Then as the lineage continues in the 1960's, the late Carl Potter operated Potter's Garage in Blanch, NC, and together with Lee Potter owned and operated the North End Esso filling station and garage in Reidsville, NC.   Jerry, son of Carl, graduated from NC State with an electrical engineering degree and had a career as an automotive engineer until deciding with wife Jenny to move back to Caswell and raise their children in the county they love.  Jenny and Jerry purchased Caswell Tire Service in 2006 and continue to operate it today.

...going forward

Fast forward to today and you'll find exciting times at Caswell Tire as the 4th generation of the Potter family is taking an active role in its operations.  The oldest son, Joe, has returned to the business as our lead diagnostician after making a name for himself as a diesel technician.  He brings with him multiple certifications for Diesel engines and ASE certifications as well.  The next son, David, is a mechanical engineering student with specialization in motor sports and spends time in the shop when he can.  The third son, Carl, has already proven his talents as a technician and is pursuing an education in Diesel Technologies while working at Caswell Tire.  With the new blood in the business, comes new enthusiasm and capabilities such as diesel repair.  Combine that with our traditional values and that makes for an exciting future, one we have thoughtfully named "Caswell Auto & Diesel".  Stay tuned for more developments...
